TIAA Plans Annual Meeting at Meyerson
The TI Alumni Association will hold its tenth
annual membership meeting Monday, May 11, in the
Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in downtown
Dallas.
Opened in 1989, the Meyerson is a landmark on
the Dallas skyline. The international press has
proclaimed the hall “world-class, rivaling the
great concert halls of the world.”
The first impression of this facility is the
open space and the touches of elegance that are
evident everywhere. The building—an
architectural jewel—features unsurpassed
acoustics.
TIAA members can enjoy a free recital by Mary
Preston, resident organist, on the Lay Family
concert organ in the concert hall at 12:30 p.m.
and then tour the fabulous building. Those who
wish to take the tour can meet in the lobby at 1
p.m. after the concert.
Refreshments will be served at 1:30 p.m. and
the meeting will begin at 2 p.m. in the Horchow
Hall. Attendees may renew their membership or
join TIAA at the meeting.
RSVP Deadline May 1
Max Post, TIAA Activities vice president, said
invitations are being sent to TIAA members.
Make reservations by May 1 by calling

What's on the Agenda
The meeting's primary purpose is to elect TIAA
officers for the 2009-2010 fiscal year. Max
Post, nominating committee chairman, announced
that all current elected officers agreed to
serve another one-year term. They are: Ronnie
Brandenburg, president; Tom Boedecker, executive
vice president; Ellen McKee, secretary; and
Larry James, treasurer. Nominations will also be
accepted from the floor. Janelle Richards and
Jon Jackson served with Max on the nominating
committee.
Also on the agenda is approval of the revised
TIAA Constitution and Bylaws.

City Council.
